Tale of the Tape: Landon Jackson
Film analysis of the Buffalo Bills' 2025 third-round draft selection.
The Buffalo Bills invested their third-round selection in the 2025 NFL Draft on Landon Jackson, a defensive end from Arkansas. A Texas native, Jackson played his first season at LSU before spending the last three years of his college career at Arkansas.
Jackson measures at 6 feet 6 and 264 pounds with a wingspan of 83 ⅝” and 10” hands. He ran a 4.68 in the 40-yard dash and boasts a Relative Athleticism Score of 9.78 out of 10.
A two-time team captain, Jackson appeared in 42 games in college while logging 31 starts. He collected 116 tackles, 26.5 tackles for loss, 16 sacks, two forced fumbles, and five pass breakups.
What does Jackson’s college film reveal about his skill set? How can he help the Bills' defense? What concerns are there? The answers are always in the tape.
As the Bills draft players, I intend to provide film breakdowns here in the Herd Mentality Substack that detail each player's skill set. Without further ado, let’s dive into the tape!
