The Buffalo Bills agreed to terms with free agent OL Kendrick Green on a one-year contract. The No. 87 overall pick in 2021, Green started for the Pittsburgh Steelers as a rookie but couldn’t crack the lineup in his second year and was a healthy scratch in every game.

Green was traded to the Houston Texans before his third season and became their starting left guard. Unfortunately, a knee injury limited his season to just four games. He was a reserve for Houston in 2024.

While Green hasn’t been able to sustain either starting gig, he’s only 26 and presents a level of upside for an addition expected to compete for a depth role. With the renowned offensive line coach Aaron Kromer set to work with Green, perhaps his full potential can be realized with the Bills.

For his career, Green has taken 975 snaps at center, 267 at left guard, and 115 at right guard. The film reel below highlights key plays from his 2024 Week 17 start against the Baltimore Ravens. How can he help the Bills' return game? The answers are always in the tape.

As the Bills add free agents, I intend to provide film breakdowns here in the Herd Mentality Substack that detail each player's skill set. Without further ado, let’s dive into the tape!
