Tale of the Tape: Kaden Prather
Film analysis of the Buffalo Bills' 2025 seventh-round draft selection.
The Buffalo Bills invested their seventh-round selection in the 2025 NFL Draft on Kaden Prather, a wide receiver out of Maryland. A Maryland native, Prather played his first two seasons at West Virginia before finishing his college career at Maryland.
Prather measures at 6 feet 3 ½ and 204 pounds with a wingspan of 77 ⅝” and 9 ⅜ ” hands. He ran a 4.46 in the 40-yard dash and has a Relative Athleticism Score of 7.68 out of 10.
Prather appeared in 48 games in college while logging 35 starts. He collected 162 receptions for 1,966 yards and 12 touchdowns. He tallied at least 500 receiving yards in each of his final three seasons.
What does Prather’s college film reveal about his skill set? How can he help the Bills' offense? What concerns are there? The answers are always in the tape.
As the Bills draft players, I intend to provide film breakdowns here in the Herd Mentality Substack that detail each player's skill set. Without further ado, let’s dive into the tape!
