Tale of the Tape: Deone Walker
Film analysis of the Buffalo Bills' 2025 fourth-round draft selection.
The Buffalo Bills invested their fourth-round selection in the 2025 NFL Draft on Deone Walker, a defensive tackle from Kentucky. A Michigan native, Walker spent his entire college career at Kentucky and was a two-time team captain.
Walker measures at 6 feet 7 ½” and 331 pounds with a wingspan of 84 ⅞” and 10 ⅝” hands. He ran a 5.35 in the 40-yard dash and boasts a Relative Athleticism Score of 3.74 out of 10.
Walker appeared in 37 games in college while logging 35 starts. He collected 132 tackles, 22 tackles for loss, 10 sacks, one forced fumble, and six pass breakups.
What does Walker’s college film reveal about his skill set? How can he help the Bills' defense? What concerns are there? The answers are always in the tape.
As the Bills draft players, I intend to provide film breakdowns here in the Herd Mentality Substack that detail each player's skill set. Without further ado, let’s dive into the tape!
