The Buffalo Bills handed the Kansas City Chiefs their first loss of the season, a 30-21 victory that puts Buffalo at 9-2 entering the bye week amid a six-game winning streak. 

With the Chiefs falling to 9-1 and the Bills now holding the tiebreaker, Buffalo's path to the No. 1 seed in the AFC is open. That said, Buffalo is still one back in the loss column.

Week 14: at Los Angeles Rams

Week 16: New England Patriots

It’s also worth mentioning that the Pittsburgh Steelers are 8-2, and the Los Angeles Chargers are 7-3, who could both have something to say about the No. 1 seed. 

Gaining a first-round bye and home-field advantage throughout the playoffs would go a long way for whoever ultimately earns it. The Chiefs had an early-season bye in Week 6, while Buffalo has yet to make a playoff run under Sean McDermott as a No. 1 seed.
